To develop infrastructure of fixed line network of data transmission and provide broadband data transmission, during 16 years LEC successfully implemented several Turn-key projects in Latvia and Germany. Construction of broadband optical network infrastructure is a very complicated set of legal and technical processes. The projects are very dynamic, given the large volume of construction, which, as usual, have to be done in a relatively short time.
Major challenges in the construction of optical networks is the cable line route selection, development of the technical project and coordination with the landowners. LEC long-term experience has always allowed to choose the right construction technology also in complicated situations. In general, throughout the Latvian territory LEC constructed a network of optical cable lines of more than 3,000 km in length, and the Latvian citizens can be proud to have one of the fastest Internet connections in the world.
In projects in Germany the LEC had a great opportunity to learn the latest technology in FFTX, FTTC network construction.
